Dokken Museum

The Dokken Museum takes you back in time to Haugesund’s heyday as a bustling herring town. Set in a charming open-air setting on Hasseløy, the museum features historic buildings and exhibits that show everyday life between 1850 and 1950, from old homes and a general store to a herring saltery and boat displays. Guided tours and period-costumed hosts bring the stories of the past to life, making it a vivid and engaging stop for visitors interested in local heritage and maritime history.
