Aksnesstranda
Aksnesstranda is only a 10-15 minute drive from the center of Haugesund. The beach is well organized with a large car park, toilet, sandy beach and barbecue area. The beach area at Aksnes consists of a small, shallow sandy beach with boulders, spring stones and grasslands at the edge of the forest.

Burmavegen
Burmavegen is a road across the southern part of the island of Karmøy in Rogaland. The road was built during World War II. It is about 9 km long, and goes over large natural areas. The highest point on the road is 80 m above sea level, between Stiklevatn and Ytre Holmavatn, where there is a view of the highest point on the island, Søre Sålefjell.

The village is located on the western shore of the island of Karmøy, immediately south of the town of Åkrahamn and a few minutes north of the village of Sandve. Ferkingstad is known for its highly rich archaeological finds, ranging from the early Viking Age to the late medieval era.

Torvastad
Torvastad is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1965. The administrative centre was the village of Haugesund (from 1838 until 1855), and after that it was the village of Torvastad on the island of Karmøy. Today, the area of Torvastad refers to the northern part of the municipality (and island) of Karmøy.
