Up Close with Brazil’s Wild Side

Even in the cities and along the coast, nature in Brazil is never far away. It’s in the birds overhead, the butterflies drifting past, the dense green that spills over garden walls. Over the years, I’ve grown increasingly fascinated with Brazil’s natural world—not just the grand landscapes, but the smaller, quieter wonders too.

This section is a growing collection of images and clips focused on Brazil’s flora and fauna—flowers in full bloom, insects in motion, birds mid-flight, and glimpses of animals in their element. Most of these photos were taken in everyday settings: backyards, trails, sidewalks, and beachfronts.

Brazil is one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet, and while I’ve only scratched the surface, I try to capture a bit of that richness each time I visit. There’s always something new to notice if you slow down and look.
