Sola
Sola is a coastal municipality in Rogaland, located just southwest of Stavanger, and is best known for its wide, sandy beaches and open, windswept landscapes. Unlike the dramatic fjords often associated with Norway, Sola offers a different kind of scenery—flat, expansive, and shaped by the North Sea. Solastranden, one of the most famous beaches in the country, stretches for several kilometres and attracts visitors year-round, whether for walking, photography, or surfing. The area is also home to Stavanger Airport, making Sola an important gateway to the region, where natural beauty and modern infrastructure exist side by side.
